What Sondola reads from AppsFlyer

  • Installs by source
  • Organic share
  • CPI

What you need

  • Account admins only: AppsFlyer lets only admins create API tokens.

Collection timing and the period a reading covers are separate. Check the source's data-through date as well as the metric's reporting period.

Connect AppsFlyer in 3 steps

  1. Open the Security center

In AppsFlyer, click your email at the top right → Security center → Manage your AppsFlyer API tokens.

    AppsFlyer: API tokens ↗
  2. Create a V2.0 token

+ New token → API V2.0 → Create token. Copy it now. It is shown once.

At most two V2.0 tokens exist per account. If both slots are taken, delete the one you no longer use.
  3. App ID

iOS apps: id followed by the numeric Apple ID, for example id1234567890. Android apps: the package name.

Enter credentials only in your Sondola workspace. Keep keys out of screenshots, public repositories and support messages.

What Sondola asks you for

API token V2.0RequiredSecret

Account admins only. Open the account menu (your email, top right) → Security center → Manage your AppsFlyer API tokens → + New token → choose API V2.0 → Create token. Copy it once, it is not shown again. At most two tokens per type.

Every token created before 10 March 2026 was revoked by AppsFlyer. Generate a fresh one rather than reusing an old value.

Secrets are stored encrypted in your workspace, in a vault kept separate from the application database. Sondola never shows them again.

Permissions

  • An API V2.0 token. Only account admins can create one, and an account holds at most two.

Refresh and first reading

Once a day. Most tools refresh once or twice a day, and every number shows when it was read.

Save and test lists your apps and runs one small aggregate report. That report counts against AppsFlyer's daily quota, so a quota message is amber, not a failure.

Troubleshooting

Save and test rejects the credential.

Every token created before 10 March 2026 was revoked by AppsFlyer. Generate a fresh one rather than reusing an old value. At most two V2.0 tokens exist per account. If both slots are taken, delete the one you no longer use.

The test passes but no reading appears.

The collector runs on its schedule, so a successful test does not mean a reading has landed. Check the source's data-through date and the metric's reporting period, and treat a missing reading as missing, not zero.

A number differs from AppsFlyer.

Compare the definition, unit and reporting period with the same number in AppsFlyer before treating a difference as an error. When a stored reading changes, its history keeps the old value, the new value and the reason.
